The drug dichloroacetate appears to target cancer cells, causing them to die. It's potency as a cancer killing agent has been tested in tissue cultures and mice, with very promising results. However, clinical trials need to be run. Since the drug is not patentable and can be produced very cheaply, pharmaceutical companies won't fund those trials.

I'll try to sum up a funny story that happened a few years ago: I got a vasectomy. I met a girl soon afterwards. She was nice and attractive but with a selfish streak that raised a big red flag. She was 32 at the time and I could practically HEAR her biological clock ticking. Regardless, she was a good lay, easy on the eyes, and reasonably g...

Digg This and then replace just ONE bulb with a Compact Fluorescent...
Typical bulb = 100w, a CF bulb that outputs the same amount of light = 23w, a difference of 77w. Multiply that number by total # of US Households (~120 million) & you can see that if every home switched out 1 bulb, then we would save about 9.24 Billion watts of electricity per kw/hour -Enough energy to curb emission levels of nearly 800,000 cars
